David Maxa grew up in Prague. He studied Religious and Jewish Studies at the Charles University in Prague and the University of Bayreuth, Germany. In the summer of 2013 he taught at Kutz Camp in the USA. Since 2014 he is enrolled as a rabbinical student at the Abraham Geiger College at the University of Potsdam. In addition to it, he spent a year in Israel and studied at the Conservative Yeshiva and other respected institutions, the Hebrew Union College, the Shalom Hartman Institute, and the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies. David had internships in various congregations in the Czech Republic, Germany, the United Kingdom and Israel. David Maxa is married and has a son. He loves people and is interested in history, classical music, literature and creative writing, travelling and passively in cooking.
